Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 14 July 2026

These terms apply to enquiries, consultations, tattoo appointments and related services supplied by Matt Drury Tattoos (“Matt Drury Tattoos”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By paying a booking fee or confirming an appointment, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

1. Bookings

Bookings are accepted through our official Nosho booking page or the official contact details published on our website. Please provide an accurate description of the tattoo, suitable reference images, photographs and details of the area to be tattooed, and your preferred dates.

An appointment is not confirmed until we have accepted the booking and received the required booking fee. Appointment times are normally 11:30am unless we confirm otherwise in writing.

2. Age and identification

You must be at least 18 years old to be tattooed. Parental consent does not permit us to tattoo anyone under 18. You must bring valid photographic proof of age to your appointment, such as a passport, driving licence, provisional driving licence or another proof-of-age card carrying the PASS hologram. We may refuse the appointment if satisfactory proof of age is not provided.

3. Prices, booking fees and payment

Prices depend on the size, detail, placement and time required. Matt’s currently advertised full-day rate is £600, but the price for your tattoo will be the price confirmed during the booking process.

A booking fee of £200 per day is required to secure an appointment. For bookings covering multiple back-to-back days, the booking fee is 50% of the agreed price. The booking fee will be deducted from the final price of the tattoo. Any remaining balance must be paid by the method and at the time agreed with you.

Our booking fees are stated to be non-refundable, subject always to your statutory rights and the other provisions of these terms. Where consumer law requires a full or partial refund, or limits the amount we may retain, those legal requirements will apply.

If the scope, placement or design changes materially after a price has been given and we agree to proceed with the change, we will discuss any revised price with you before proceeding.

4. Cancellations and rescheduling

Please contact us via WhatsApp as soon as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment. At least 7 days’ notice is required to move an appointment. If less than 7 days’ notice is given, a new booking fee will normally be required before another appointment can be secured.

If you cancel an appointment, the booking fee will be treated as non-refundable to the extent permitted by law. Any amount retained will not exceed what may lawfully be retained, taking account of work already carried out, losses directly caused by the cancellation and our ability to fill the appointment.

If we cancel an appointment, we will offer a suitable alternative date or refund payments relating to services that have not been supplied. We are not responsible for reasonable changes or cancellations caused by circumstances outside our control, but this does not affect your statutory rights.

5. Distance-booking cancellation rights

If you enter into a service contract online, by telephone or away from our business premises, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason. To exercise that right, email hello@mattdrurytattoos.co.uk with a clear cancellation request.

If you ask us to begin consultation, design or other services during that 14-day period, you may be required to pay a reasonable amount for work supplied before cancellation. Where the service has been fully performed within the cancellation period at your express request and with your acknowledgement, your cancellation right may end once performance is complete. These provisions do not limit any rights you have by law.

6. Lateness and missed appointments

Please arrive on time and allow time for travel and parking. If you expect to be late, call us immediately and tell us when you expect to arrive. If you arrive late without contacting us beforehand, or if there is no longer enough time to complete the work safely, we reserve the right to shorten, rearrange or cancel the appointment. Where the appointment is cancelled in these circumstances, the booking fee will be treated in accordance with sections 3 and 4.

If you do not attend and do not contact us, you will lose the booking fee to the extent permitted by law, and we reserve the right to cancel any future appointments and decline future bookings. We may also refuse to tattoo you at our studio in the future.

7. Health, safety, preparation and consent

You must give complete and accurate information about any medical condition, medication, allergy, pregnancy, skin condition or other matter that could affect the tattoo procedure or healing. Seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional if you are unsure whether tattooing is suitable for you.

Please eat a good breakfast or substantial meal before your appointment and drink plenty of water. Do not drink alcohol the night before your appointment, as this may affect the tattooing process and make your skin more difficult to work on.

We may refuse or stop a procedure where we reasonably believe it would be unsafe or inappropriate, including where a client appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, cannot give informed consent, behaves abusively, or does not follow reasonable hygiene and safety instructions.

Tattooing involves inherent risks, including pain, bleeding, swelling, infection, allergic reaction, scarring and variations in healing. We will explain relevant risks and aftercare, and you must follow the aftercare instructions provided. Contact a healthcare professional promptly if you experience symptoms that cause concern.

8. Designs and artwork

Reference images are used to understand your preferred subject, style and mood. We do not promise to reproduce another artist’s work exactly. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, copyright and other intellectual property rights in original artwork created by us remain with the relevant artist. You must not reproduce, sell or commercially use the artwork without permission.

You confirm that materials you supply may lawfully be used for the requested purpose and do not knowingly infringe another person’s rights.

Once your appointment has been booked, a major change to the agreed design, concept or subject matter may not be accepted. If you request a major change, we may decline the change, propose a new appointment, revise the price or require a new booking fee, depending on the work involved and the notice given. We will explain the available options before proceeding.

9. Guests

Please do not bring an entourage to your appointment. The studio is busy, space is limited, and additional guests can distract artists and other customers. We may limit or refuse entry to accompanying friends or family where reasonably necessary for safety, space or the smooth running of the studio.

10. Results, healing and touch-ups

Every person’s skin and healing process is different, so healed colour, tone, line appearance and detail may vary. We cannot guarantee an identical result to a reference image or digital design. The need for and price of any touch-up will be assessed after the tattoo has healed, taking account of the work performed and whether aftercare instructions were followed.

11. Photographs and personal information

We may ask to photograph the tattoo for treatment records and, separately, for portfolio, website or social-media use. We will obtain any consent required for promotional use. Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Our responsibility

We will provide services with reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights. We are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate information you provide, failure to follow aftercare instructions, or matters outside our reasonable control, except where the law provides otherwise.

13. Complaints

If you have a concern, please contact us promptly so we have an opportunity to review it and, where appropriate, put matters right. Email hello@mattdrurytattoos.co.uk and include your name, appointment date and a clear description of the issue.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when your booking is confirmed will apply to that booking unless a change is required by law or is agreed with you.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts that apply under consumer law where you live. Nothing in this section removes any mandatory rights available to you.
